Car and truck crashes
A crash lasts a second. The claim does not.
Antoinette handles claims from collisions with cars, pickups, delivery vans and freight trucks, on the interstates and on the streets around Baton Rouge and across the state line.
The other side's insurer begins building its file the day of the crash. Hers begins the day you call: the police report, the photographs, the repair estimate, and a list of every provider who has treated you.
She does not ask you to settle while you are still in treatment. The number is worked out when the doctors can say what the injury will cost over time, not before.
A claim can include
Medical bills, now and expected
Income lost while you recover
Pain, and what it has changed at home and at work
Repair or replacement of the vehicle

The first weeks, in order
- 01
Preserve what disappears
Photographs, the vehicle, the other driver's insurer and any camera on the road. Some of it is gone within weeks.
- 02
Take the insurers off your phone
You send their calls to the office. A recorded statement given early is the most common way a claim shrinks.
- 03
Follow the treatment
Records and bills are gathered as you go, so the demand is written from the whole file, not from the first visit.
- 04
Put the number in writing
When treatment is settled, you see the full figure and how it was reached before anything is sent.
Questions about crash claims
The other driver's insurer already called me. Should I have answered?
You can say you will have the office call back. If you already spoke with them, tell Antoinette what was said; it is common and it can be worked with.
What if the driver had no insurance?
Your own policy may carry coverage for exactly this. Antoinette reads it for you, because the notice deadlines in some policies are short.
A truck driver and a trucking company are both named. Why?
A company can answer for how it hired, scheduled and inspected, not only for the driver's mistake. That can change how much insurance is available.
Hurt in a crash? Start with a call.
The first conversation is free. Bring the police report if you have it, and if you do not, bring the date and the road.
